The following is the experience that someone shared with me about their experience at the America’s Got Talent 2010 Portland auditions.
My Portland Oregon audition! On March 1st, I auditioned for America’s Got Talent in Portland, Oregon. I left early with my mom, expecting a large crowd like the one that had showed up on the first day. When I got there, there was no line anywhere. We walked in and right through security and the place where you get your audition number and wrist band. We entered into the waiting room to find only about a forth of the place had people. Since we had filled out our paperwork earlier, we walked past the people filling theirs out and right to the people who checked them. We joked around with the people working and made them smile while they checked over our paperwork. We then went and sat down, waiting for my number to be called. The first group of people auditioning were called and they were filmed as they headed out the door of the waiting room. We waited a little longer, talking to random people and having them preform their acts for us. A few people were interviewed and they scanned the area a couple times with the camera. My number was called not long after and I joined my group. They only filmed the first group, but there was a camera outside the door just sitting there and filming the people walking by. We lined up in numerical order and then we were split in groups of ten. Once my group of ten got to the chairs outside of the audition room, we were split into groups of five. We waited for about ten minutes before we were called into the room. There was no camera. Just three girls sitting behind computers. We said our name, age, where we were from, and what we were singing. Afterward, they thanked us and told us they would call if you made it through the next round. A friend I met there told me that they asked when they would be contacted and the people told them it would be before the 16th (Because the show films on the 17th and 18th). No one was called back in, and I didn’t see anyone in any group while I was waiting be called back in. I’m not sure it’s a good thing? We got to the audition about 9 and left at 11 something. The process was fairly quick and painless, but it was a lot of fun. I made a bunch of new friends and had a blast. Portland definitely has some talented people. Let’s hope for the best!
Feel free to leave your experience if you were at the AGT 2010 portland auditions.

The America’s Got Talent Los Angeles and Portland Celebrity Judge Auditions
Written by: JohnI’m not 100% on this, but this site has been the official site for getting tickets to the America’s Got Talent tapings for a while and they have two different America’s Got Talent shows on their list. Here’s the shows they have so far:
America’s Got Talent in Los Angeles
March 12-13 (4 shows)
The Orpheum Theater
842 S. Broadway
Los Angeles, CA, 90014
America’s Got Talent in Portland
March 17-18 (4 shows)
The Keller Auditorium
222 SW Clay (corner of Clay and 3rd Ave)
Portland, OR 97201
These seem like the celebrity judge audition shows to me. Why else would they want to have an audience? Plus, it matches the time frame we’ve heard from the show.
Now, don’t get all worked up if you auditioned in LA and you don’t get a call to be on the March 12-13th show. The producers have told us that they sometimes call people to come and audition in another city if your talent is needed in another audition city.
If any of you are able to go to these shows in LA or Portland, we’d love to hear about your experience at the show. Just drop me a note on my contact us page. We’d all love to hear about your experience.
Thanks to John AGT Fan for finding this.
UPDATE (thanks to Cameron):
America’s Got Talent in Dallas

Over the past couple years, we’ve had a lot of really interesting acts audition for America’s Got Talent. It’s always nice when those acts check in with us again and show us the progress they’ve seen with their talent. Not to mention to hear about their most recent audition on America’s Got Talent.
One of my favorite people we spotlighted before was a little girl named Casey Cattie. Well, she’s still pretty little, but I think she’s improved quite a bit since we last saw her. Check out Casey Cattie’s most recent video:
Word is that Casey did a really great job at the auditions and I think she has a reasonable chance of being on America’s Got Talent 2010. I really hope she does. It’s fun to see people who participate on the site make it on the show. You might remember that we first saw G-Force on this site before making it on America’s Got Talent. Always fun!

America’s Got Talent 2010 Audition Cities and Dates
Written by: JohnI haven’t been updating this site too much lately, but A LOT of people have been talking about the auditions for America’s Got Talent 2010 in the comments. So, I figured I’d give my readers an update on the America’s Got Talent Auditions.
First thing you should know is that you can (and should) pre-register for the AGT 2010 Auditions. Then, the official site will notify you when the auditions are happening and the details you’ll need for the audition (DISCLAIMER: This is not the official site. This is just a fan site. You can find the official AGT 2010 Audition website here.)
February 28-March 1st, 2010
If you can’t make it to any of those locations, then don’t worry. You can also submit a video audition online. In past seasons I know a number of people submitted a video online and went to the audition. Not sure how much that really helped, but probably doesn’t hurt your chances.
That’s all for now. You also might want to check out one person’s suggestions on what to take to the America’s Got Talent auditions. Also, please come back and tell us your experience with the auditions and share your talent with us. If you want to share anonymously, then drop us a note on our Contact Us page.

America’s Got Talent 2010 Casting Call
Written by: JohnIt’s that time again for all those interested in auditioning for America’s Got Talent. I’m personally very interested in having more people audition for America’s Got Talent, because the last season of America’s Got Talent was a little weak in my book. Sure there were a couple acts that were awesome, but over all it was just ho hum. Let’s hope that Season 5 of America’s Got Talent is better than last season.
Here’s the casting call video for America’s Got Talent 2010. This is the link to the official America’s Got Talent website. Let me know if you’re auditioning so we can hear about your experience.
Disclaimer: This is just an America’s Got Talent fan site. Please visit the official AGT website for official answers.

Today Show Auditions for America’s Got Talent
Written by: JohnThe official America’s Got Talent audition website just announced that they are teaming up with the Today show (yes, that today show on NBC) to hold the last chance auditions for America’s Got Talent 2009. Check out a portion of what they posted on their site about the auditions:
America’s Got Talent is teaming up with the Today show to hold the last open auditions for the 2009 season.
On Thursday morning, May 14, anyone who wants to show off their talent can come to the Today show studio in Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. Registration kicks off at 6am right in front of the Today show studios. You can strut your stuff for Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Ann Curry and Al Roker.
It’s not only your last chance to be on this season of America’s Got Talent, but three acts will be chosen to perform live on the Today show the following week.
Looks like a really cool connection and great exposure for America’s Got Talent to be on the Today show. I’ll have to watch and see if I can find a video of the Today show performances. Glad to see that the show is really reaching out in fun ways like the Today show and my previous post about America’s Got Talent and MySpace.

Tomorrow is the last day for the live auditions. Houston will be wrapping things up tomorrow (see the official AGT website for details). However, all is not lost if you are someone who wants to still get in on America’s Got Talent 2009. Check out the following video they just put out from Nick Cannon talking about America’s Got Talent’s partnership with MySpace.
Here’s the link to America’s Got Talent on Myspace. I like this option since the internet is universal and so everyone can enter regardless of where they live.
I also got the following email from America’s Got Talent that talks about their online video submission entry form (DISCLAIMER: This is a fan site and does not officially represent America’s Got Talent, Fremantle Media or NBC). The following email is just what I received in my inbox from the show. Take it for what it’s worth. It is cool to note that the email says they’ll watch every video submission. Nice to see that in writing.
DISCLAIMER: If you have auditioned in person, submitted a DVD or uploaded a video from September 2008 until now, please disregard this email. This will be the last communication you receive by email for the America’s Got Talent 2009 season.

America’s Got Talent
For those wondering why I got an email saying “We’ve enjoyed seeing talented acts from across the nation perform at our auditions, but we haven’t seen YOU!” Well, let’s just say I considered going to the auditions with a laptop computer, dressed up like a nerd and blogging about the experience. Only problem is that I don’t think they’d let me take my laptop into the audition. Maybe next year I should try.

Answers to America’s Got Talent Audition Questions
Written by: JohnA number of people are confusing Pure America’s Got Talent (this website) with the official America’s Got Talent audition website. As is stated near the top, this is just an America’s Got Talent FAN site. It’s run by fans, contributed by fans and has no relationship with NBC, America’s Got Talent, it’s owners, producers, etc etc etc.
With that disclaimer aside, hopefully this site is a good place for fans of the show to share their experience, get feedback on the process, learn from other fans and once the show starts talk about the various episodes of America’s Got Talent. One of my main focuses when the show starts will be the various music performed on the show. Until then we’ll enjoy hearing about various America’s Got Talent audition experiences and even post a few America’s Got Talent polls.
If you do have questions about the America’s Got Talent audition process, then you have a couple of options.
- Official America’s Got Talent website
- Official America’s Got Talent Audition FAQ
- Official America’s Got Talent Audition Forum (Beta) – this is a new addition that should be helpful for people who want to ask questions about the audition process.
You’re certainly welcome to post comments on this blog and interact with fans, but just know that anything said on Pure America’s Got Talent in posts or comments is just fan talk.
Now, go and vote for your favorite America’s Got Talent audition city.
