Nick Cannon Backstage on America’s Got Talent

Written by: John

Here’s a quick little video that gives you an idea of what Nick Cannon does backstage on America’s Got Talent:

Seems like it would be a pretty fun job. Although, it’s probably under appreciated how difficult it is to be funny and interesting in only a few seconds. That’s kind of what he’s required to do on America’s Got Talent.

Hoff Talks About Himself and America’s Got Talent

Written by: John

I’ll be the first to tell you that I’m not a real big fan of the Hoff. As long as he chooses not to sing, I’ll deal with his comments. He does have an incredible fan base. That aside here’s some interviews of the Hoff talking about America’s Got Talent.

Hoff Talks about some lame glasses and more importantly says he doesn’t know about their back story. I think that might be true for the Hoff. I don’t think it was true for Simon on Britain’s Got Talent (see Susan Boyle)

Most Overhyped Act on America’s Got Talent – Voices of Glory

Written by: John

Maybe I’m a little be off because I follow America’s Got Talent so closely, but I think that this family of singers is going to be the most overhyped act of America’s Got Talent season 4. I just don’t see any way they can live up to the storyline that’s been shown in the commercials. It’s unfortunate for them, because it is a great story, but it’s like someone hyping a movie. Once you watch that movie that’s been totally hyped up it can rarely live up to the hype.

Check out the video to see who I’m talking about:

Fire Dancers, Nick Cannon as Host, and the Female Jackson Five

I love checking out the previews for America’s Got Talent. The only issue I have with it sometimes is that it then ruins the show a little bit. I think it’s kind of good when I don’t know the background story of everyone. Plus, they sometimes show too much of a preview of that person that you already know what to expect. America’s Got Talent isn’t as bad as The Bachelor with this, but sometimes it’s close.

Now, check out these three videos showing what we have to look forward to on the premiere of America’s Got Talent 2009 this Tuesday!!

Russian Bar Trio on America’s Got Talent 2009?

Written by: John

Getting ready for the premiere of America’s Got Talent 2009, I can’t help but hope that the Russian Bar Trio will return for America’s Got Talent 2009. For those that have been living in cave, here’s the video of Russian Bar Trio’s audition on America’s Got Talent 2008:

In case you don’t know the back story, the Russian Bar Trio made it to the top 20 (or maybe it was 40), but unfortunately had to drop out due to injury. Turns out that Donald Braswell got voted back on to the show (much to the Donald Braswell fans delight) in order to replace the Russian Bar Trio.

Now to the point of this post. Russian Bar Trio has to be the most shocking and impressive and talented act I’ve seen on America’s Got Talent. I really hope they come back for season 4 of America’s Got Talent.

I also think it’s interesting that the Russian Bar Trio has at least reached some amount of star status. I previously posted the video of the Russian Bar Trio’s performance for a Michigan basketball game. Now, check out this video of the Russian Bar Trio’s performance on Ellen:

America’s Got Talent Season 4 Flash Mob’s the Mall of America

Written by: John

I’m starting to get really excited to see America’s Got Talent. 2009 seems like the year for America’s Got Talent to be taken to a new level as a show. Thanks to the fame of Susan Boyle among other things I think we’re in for an amazing season full of great talent and killer stories.

That aside, this is such a good idea. Check out what seems to be the America’s Got Talent 2009 contestants performing in the middle of Mall of America.

Talk about some really interesting people. The person that stands out to me the most was the little blonde girl near the beginning that sings a little solo number. Talk about a great voice. Anyone stand out for you?

Most Anticipated America’s Got Talent Season 4 Performance

Written by: John

As many of my readers know, I’ve been really interested in watching the audition process for America’s Got Talent season 4. I think the 2009 version of America’s Got Talent is going to be great. I still wish they’d have gotten rid of the Hoff and Sharon, but that’s a topic for a different post.

What has been interesting as I’ve watched and read about people’s AGT 4 audition experience is seeing the variety of acts that we’ll get a chance to see on America’s Got Talent 2009. However, there is one act that I’m most excited to see on season 4 of America’s Got Talent. The act is three beautiful girls in “wedding dresses” and violins. Take a look at this picture from the AGT 4 auditions:
AGT Auditions - Violins and Wedding Dresses

Looks like the next Nuttin’ But Stringz, but much better looking. Anyone else know of people or seen pictures of people they’d like to see on America’s Got Talent 2009?

America’s Got Talent Season 5 Auditions (AGT 2010)

Written by: John

A notice was posted to the official AGT audition website about the America’s Got Talent Season 5 auditions being over. I meant to post this when I first saw it, but I’ve been a little bit busy lately. However, I felt it only right to post it since I’d posted so much information about America’s Got Talent auditions.

The cool part is that the official America’s Got Talent audition website also has this posted:

Auditions for Season 4 of America’s Got Talent are now over. All the acts have been notified.

The show will premiere on JUNE 23 9/8C ON NBC.

Online pre-registration for season 5 (which will air in 2010) will start June 15, 2009. Check back for details.

I’m certain this will be bad news for those who auditioned for America’s Got Talent season 4 and never heard back from the show. However, it’s great news for those interested in participating in the America’s Got Talent season 5 auditions. Yes, that’s America’s Got Talent 2010. Seems like it’s a long ways away, but it will go faster than we think.

Anyway, best of luck to those that will be on America’s Got Talent season 4 on June 23, 2009 and even more luck to those who brave the crowds to audition for America’s Got Talent 2010.

America’s Got Talent Season 4 Premiere Preview

Written by: John

I’m sure if you’ve been reading this blog, we’ve been excited about America’s Got Talent 2009 for quite a while. Luckily, the wait is almost over and we’ve at least had Britain’s Got Talent to entertain us in the mean time.

Well, we’re now down to less than a month until the premiere of AGT 4. America’s Got Talent season 4 will premiere on JUNE 23 9/8C ON NBC. Having followed so many of people who auditioned and seen the process from the start, I’m very excited to see America’s Got Talent 4. Check out this AGT 4 preview video to see what I mean:

Today Show Auditions for America’s Got Talent

Written by: John

The official America’s Got Talent audition website just announced that they are teaming up with the Today show (yes, that today show on NBC) to hold the last chance auditions for America’s Got Talent 2009. Check out a portion of what they posted on their site about the auditions:

America’s Got Talent is teaming up with the Today show to hold the last open auditions for the 2009 season.

On Thursday morning, May 14, anyone who wants to show off their talent can come to the Today show studio in Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. Registration kicks off at 6am right in front of the Today show studios. You can strut your stuff for Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Ann Curry and Al Roker.

It’s not only your last chance to be on this season of America’s Got Talent, but three acts will be chosen to perform live on the Today show the following week.

Looks like a really cool connection and great exposure for America’s Got Talent to be on the Today show. I’ll have to watch and see if I can find a video of the Today show performances. Glad to see that the show is really reaching out in fun ways like the Today show and my previous post about America’s Got Talent and MySpace.
