Other America’s Got Talent Backstage Videos

So we are all pretty much annoyed by the interaction between Howie and Piers. Sharon even got in on the annoying action last night. However, I don’t see what Piers is doing is bullying of Howie. I guess this video is part of Howie’s comedy act.

This is a great video where the judges and Nick Cannon talk about people showing them their talent in public. I can only imagine. I bet they’ve seen some pretty hilarious things.

      this is in regards to the first semi-final
      the level of talent last night was amazing best show of the year by-far, any of the top 9 from last night could have a vegas show, (excluding sando trio (no)russian bar, Melissa Villasenor, or Kevin Colis)
      the reason i like this site is many people’s opinions and thoughts came out last night in the episode, like how john said sando trio could not take it much further,R.J. said how not funny Melissa was, how west springfield’s choreographers got recognition and how there was not much bickering between the judges either.
      Usally i am able to pick the acts mostly likely to go through but last night it was so close so here is my guess

      It was an amazing show and I did not know how they were going to select only 5 of them.

      I agreed with all of the selections you made Dorgo and I was so very disappointed when Daniel Joseph Baker did not go through and Lys Agnes did.

      Having said that, I did not select them America did and Piers had the final say. Both of the final acts West Springfield and Daniel should have gone through, but I am still watching.

      I Love AGT and will still watch, I just hope and pray that some talent scout is watching this show to give Daniel a very well deserved opportunity.

      I was astonished to see Daniel Joseph Baker get sent packing. I could watch and listen to him perform for hours-an incredible voice and stage presence. I was equally appalled to see that people actually liked Lys Agnes’ operatic take on Evanescence-that was worse than fingernails on a chalkboard! I think she’s amazing at singing opera, but that performance was not worthy of a place in the finals. I really don’t know what the judges were thinking of sending a high school dance team that uses the same steps in each performance through versus Daniel, who they all said is pure Vegas! This show has lost a fan.

      I’m not a big fan of Lys either. She was given the pimp spot the other night at the end of the show though. So, that probably helped. Plus, for some reason the AGT audience has voted well for voices like hers. I don’t understand it.

      I was a little surprised that Daniel was sent home. I figured that Sharon would support him for sure. I wasn’t sure how Howie and/or Piers would go. Although, I was actually happy the dance group went through. I liked them a lot and while they do some similar steps, they’re presentation is great. Daniel is a bit too over the top for me personally and his voice isn’t all that good. It’s not bad, but it’s not great. Although, I can see how many other people enjoy his performance.

      perhaps Daniel is a bit too fierce for you. But I love his fierceness! His performance was AMAZING and he definately deserved the spot in the finals more than Lys and West Springfield Dance Team. He showed a softer side and Piers said it paid off. All of the judges gave him a standing ovation, but they didn’t give WSDT a standing ovation. His voice is so amazing, he has lots of talent. Piers and Howie will regret their decision.

      Definitely too fierce for me. I’m much more laid back. To each their own of course.

      I’ll be interested to hear what happens with Daniel after the show.

      I think that Daniel is better than the dance group. The dance group is ok, but they don’t step it up because they do the same moves as their last performance. But Daniel steps it up every time and has a great voice. He sings different songs. I was very, very, surprised that Howie and Piers did not pick Daniel. Piers is even the one who said he loved the performance and said that daniel was a perfect act and showman. I was very disappointed that Daniel went home and that the dance team went through. Also, I think that Lys Agnes and POPLYFE should not have gone through.

      I personally think that the dance team deserved to go through.

      Rheanna, the dance team is spectacular and is better than daniel. Daniel is good but did not step up his performance.

      I think Daniel also made a terrible choice to just sit at the piano for almost the whole song. Him sitting down loses so much of his performance ability which is what makes him great.

      As Piers alluded to, in a Vegas show, you’d need a change of pace performance like the one he did. However, in a popularity contest (which AGT is), he should have kept the high level energy performance.

      It’s like the magic acts say, you have to have to do a show stopping closing act every time you get on the AGT stage.

      HE STEPPED UP HIS PERFORMANCE TIMES A MILLION DOLLARS. So you would be happy watching a dance team for 1 hour doing the same moves to different music and wearing the same contacts, makeup, and wigs? Doesn’t sound very entertaining to me.

      I think that WSDT had the better act of the night then daniel, the thing about Daniel is he is very different. That is what is key for this compitition you have to be good and different at this stage. at the audition rounds you have to be either. I personally do not think this was a step up for Daniel from last time, as for WSDT there act was better than last time. and i agree with Rene about Lys’s song choice how it was sung and how she got through I think DJB should be in instead of her.

      I truly enjoy reading ALL of the comments. I am very still disappointed that Daniel is no longer on the show and that we can thank Piers for that as he was the judge who made that decision.

      Yes, Daniel is FIERCE and you gotta love that about him – he always stayed true to who he is. You will not see another Daniel anywhere.

      My comparison of Daniel because of him being so unique and totally different would be i.e. David Bowie, Lady GaGa, Boy George (Perhaps nobody remembers him) Adam Lambert from American Idol, Freddy Mercury from Queen, Ricky Martin from the group MENUDOS (also an older group), to Elton John (Everybody knows him) and also Clay Aiken from American Idol to name just a few. There are so many others who were DIFFERENT to quote Piers.

      That is just my opinion. I feel that Piers certainly is different, we are ALL DIFFERENT and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. We should be different, that is what makes the world go round. This is what we are supposed to be UNIQUE.

      Sure appreciate what your post said, and yes it is very true and I always speak my mind as tactfully as I can and I just felt I needed to get my comments posted.

      Looking forward to the next live show to see who will be on and what the outcome will be. Should be very interesting….

      I am still unsure about getting the judges to choose from the last 2, it truly puts pressure on them, but it is probably the best and most fair decision.

      Unfortunately for me, did not agree with Piers with his selection, but then again, as I said before, he is different also, and certainly entitled to his opinion.

      Still missing my FIERCE friend – Daniel Joseph Baker. He sure got the short end of the stick. That was very unfair to him, for Piers to cut him. He is soooooooo fiercly talented and what an entertainer.

      Why blame Piers? If anything, I’d say Howie is to blame for cutting your fierce friend. I think we all knew that Piers wasn’t going to keep him around. I’m quite sure that Sharon was going to keep him too. So, let’s blame Howie;-)

      I truly felt that both Howie and Piers really liked him and that when Howie did not vote for Daniel, Piers got his vote, I should have known that whatever is predictable is ONLY the unpredicable –

      What confused me was Howie had the first vote and did not go with Daniel then Piers – and I knew Sharon loved him as well. I suppose it was a very difficult night for the judges.

      I guess I should not be so vocal on this post, but it just truly made me feel very sad to see such a greatly talented individual get cut short, I just hope that a talent scout saw Daniel and he is given a real chance for a great career. He truly deserves it.

      Their reaction is pretty normal actually. Well, maybe I shouldn’t say normal. Maybe I should say it’s typical of fans that are really fanatic about someone.
