More America’s Got Talent Season 6 Audition Cities and Dates
I’m sorry I haven’t been keeping up with all the auditions happening this year. Although, it’s looking like America’s Got Talent is going to be as big this year as it was last year.
Yesterday, I posted about the America’s Got Talent season 6 Chicago auditions. However, they’ve announced the dates of auditions for a few more cities on the official America’s Got Talent audition website and I never wrote about them here.
America’s Got Talent Season 6 Audition Cities
New York City – November 14 and 15
Atlanta – January 29 and 30
Houston – February 12 and 13
Seattle and Tacoma – February 19 and 20
I have a feeling they may still add a city or two more. Probably depends on how much talent they’re finding in their current cities. We shall see.
As always, if you’re auditioning for America’s Got Talent season 6, we’d love to hear about your experience.
I’m so EXCITED!!!! I am gonna be there. Definitely. Also.. have you guys heard about the Reality Rocks Online Fan Awards, I’m surprised I didn’t hear about it on this blog first. I’m having so much fun voting for my favorite shows. You wouldn’t believe who’s winning! I’m so excited about it! Check it out and VOTE for your fav shows! I’m voting everday! http://www.realityrocks.net
We were sought out by a producer for our animal act they saw on YouTube, were offered an audition time, and will be auditioning at 11:30am on Sunday, 11/14, in NYC. We are also a “Q” act. We had only started watching AGT late last season, and this is our 1st time participating in anything like this.
For those who have auditioned before, how does the timing of the act work? We’re given 90 seconds – do they cut you off right at 90 … vocally? With a buzzer?
Also, for those who have auditioned in NYC before…if it was at Javits, did the room have carpeting, wood, or concrete floors?
Either way, please wish us luck!
Atka,
I think it depends on how well you’re doing at your act and the producer that’s seeing you. If they like it and want to see more, they’ll probably have you keep going. If they don’t like you, they’ll likely stop you if you go over.
If I were you, I’d plan to be close to 90 seconds. They’ll probably be a flexible a few seconds either way. Especially since you were invited by the producers to come. However, they want to know you have an act that can fit in the 90 seconds since that’s what you’ll have to do on the show. I have never heard of any buzzers at the auditions. So, just vocally I’m sure.
Best of luck at the audition and come back and let us know how it goes.
Just got back from the auditions. Everything was pretty well-organized, etc.
Our rehearsals in the hallways drew crowds, but our performance in the audition room would be labeled either an F+ or D-. LOL! Atka just didn’t have his game on at all today, and went on strike and refused to do tricks. He did them, eventually, but with none of the zest he normally has.
I also was too nervous, and forgot how to speak English, and never recovered from it. It was an epic fail that is comical, to say the least. We were still honored that they sought us out in the first place. The pressure of having to do so many things in just 90 seconds is not the right venue for our pup.
We will have to make sure to watch every episode to see if any footage they took of us makes the “pitiful and painful to watch” pile of clips they seem to always show 🙂
Atka,
Sorry to hear about this, but I’m glad to hear you had a good time. Working with animals is hard and let’s be honest. America’s Got Talent doesn’t provide the best atmosphere for getting animals to perform at their best.
NYC auditions were amazing. Everyone was so nice and the system was very organized. I am awestruck by the talent I witnessed…most notably a Bluegrass trio consisting of three KIDS – unbelieveable – they were asked to come back into the room for a second time…which by the way, if you did NOT get asked into the room for a second time, does that mean you’re not going to get a callback? Either way, great experience. Luck to all!
This is just a fan site. The official America’s Got Talent website is: http://americasgottalentauditions.com/new/ So, anything I say is just as a fan.
That said, I don’t think you can say for sure either way. I think that the more you’re called back, the more likely you are to be on the show. Although, I imagine that if you’ve been taped, there’s a chance that a producer will see your act again and be impressed and want to give you a try.
Yeah NYC auditions were awesome!! Not sure how the whole callback into the room thing works though. I auditioned as a comedian, and actually went in front of the judges with 6 other acts in the room with me (oddly all musicians), only helped my cause because I had a bigger crowd…I just can’t see why they would call me back in the room as a comedian though, I doubt they’d want to hear the routine again…is there hope for me, I made them laugh and I thought it went really well
Peter,
I think there’s always hope. They always like to have a couple comedians I think. Especially with Howie on the judging panel.
If they called you back they wouldn’t have wanted to see the same routine. They would have likely asked you to do a new routine.
