America’s Got Talent 2011 LA Auditions
Today and tomorrow are the auditions for America’s Got Talent 2011. You can probably still just show up tomorrow if you’re interested in auditioning. We just got our first person who auditioned in LA share their experience at the AGT auditions. Here it is:
Hey,
We just finished out LA auditions for AGT. We went to the first audition in front of judges, were asked to wait, then were called to a second audition (played the same song) in front of the executive producers. They then took a picture of us and then were asked to wait for an interview. We gave the interview to a staff member who entered our info and then were done. We arrived at 4:00am and left at around 3:15pm. I feel really good , except for the fact that a few acts that made it to the interview stage like us were also asked to wait and were filmed for what seemed to be a TV spot. We were not. We will just have to wait and see. Thanks
Thanks for sharing. If you have other experiences, please leave them in the comments below for others to learn about the process.

Can someone please tell me if the actual AGT Judges are present when you audition? Last year I went to NYC for an audition but it was NOT the judges, it was two young kids with a video camera. I am supposed to go to NYC Monday but only want to sing for Sharon and Pierce, not a student or other. Please advise
Tony,
I can say with 99.9% certainty that the celebrity judges won’t be there. The producers of the show handle all of the initial auditions. Not to mention there are a number of level of producers that you’d have to go through. Then, from the auditions the producers see, they bring just a focused list of auditions to go before the celebrity judges at another date much later.
Disclaimer: I am just a fan site and not the show, but this detail is pretty clear.
Thank you John: I didn’t think they would be there.
