It’s usually pretty easy to predict many of the people who will be going on to the next round. America’s Got Talent isn’t the best at providing surprises. For some reason, certain acts just click better with America than others and it’s often quite obvious.

Although, there’s certainly other ways to tell too. For example, here’s the top 5 from the America’s Got Talent poll Marianya posted:
Fighting Gravity: Blacklight Performers
Jackie Evancho: Youth Singer
Michael Grasso: Magician/Illusionist
Jeremy VanSchoonhoven: Bicyclist
Studio One Young Beast Society: Dance Group

Also, I find it interesting which acts NBC’s PR person decides to send me. Here’s who they sent this time:
Jackie Evancho
Fighting Gravity
Jeremy Vanschoonhoven
Alice Tan Ridley
Michael Grasso

I think that list is a pretty good indication of the top 5. Amazingly only 2 singers. Watch for Alice Tan Ridley to not make it to the finals if the judges make the choice. The show already has enough singers in the finals. Although, I’m sure AGT would love to have Precious on the show.

I’m personally a little surprised to not see Michael & Ashleigh up higher. I thought they were quite entertaining and thought America would like them more. Besides the scare when they dropped her, it was by far their best performance. It was a mistake for them to say that they weren’t a couple. It would have been better to let people imagine they were. On a side note, Ashleigh is incredibly beautiful!

My sister and i watched last nights show and we think it would be awesome to see Prince Poppycock and Jackie sing together . The music of the night would be an awesome choice for them. We think both of them are awesome and totally unique. Jackie actually had me in tears it was so beautiful. I love the song she sang and she was incredible. I think we will be seeing both of them even if they don’t win.

      Susan,
That would be quite the show wouldn’t it? I’m sure they’d love to do it!

Michael Grimm is my favorite. He is a wonderful soulful singer. I can listen to his music over and over. Jackie is quite talented. Not my type of music though. My vote goes to Michael Grimm. I hope he wins.

I was very disappointed that Pierce X’d Prince Poppycock – and his attitude towards the other contestants seems a bit biased – he seems to continuously promote Jackie Evancho. She does have a beautiful voice; however, I don’t consider her to be “RAW” talent as he so often states. You can find cd’s of her music on the internet. If this is truely to find “RAW” talent – then I think she has an unfair advantage not to mention her personal promoter – Pierce.

I was glad that Piers buzzed Prince Poppycock. His performance was pretty boring and Piers has been very consistent with who he buzzes. If they don’t want him buzzing they should have taken the buzzers away.

I wouldn’t worry about Piers bias for Jackie. On these shows it can often be a problem if he talks up an act like he has for Jackie. That will kick the other groups fan bases into gear and inspire them to vote more. Not to mention it can often make Jackie’s fan base lazy since they think she has it in the bag.

That said, I still think Jackie is likely to win this season. Although, I think this will be the closest top 4 we’ve ever had on AGT.

Also, Jackie is one of the most raw talents. Although, very few acts on the show are really raw. At least not at this point. Most of them have had some success and many paying jobs doing their acts. Having a CD says more about her parents helping promote her than her actual star factor before the show.

      RE: AGT FINALS
I’M SORRY ! What a ridiculous result…Michael Grimm winning the competition makes me….ummmmm. GRIM, and more. This, dime-a-dozen white bread charlatan has no busy taking home the top prize, especially after his treatment of Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” (which was filled with uninspired, off pitch singing, timing that was WAY off, and his mayoinaisse falsettos vocal runs. There are at least three better singers on the street corner near where I get my morning coffee ! America surely does have talent….but they hardly know how to rate it properly.
So…for all of you who already know….here is the CORRECT order of the Final’s finish….
      1- Jackie Evanko (HANDS DOWN)
      2- Fighting Gravity
      3- Michael Grimm
      4- Prince Poppycock
And if you ask me….I am not at all sure that Grimm or Poppycock even belonged in the finals at all !
The final vote was SHAMEFUL and frankly….a bunch of Poppycock !

What a TERRIBLE result in the Finals voting !
In all sincerity, I am not at all convinced Michael Grimm even belonged amongst the finalists! Frankly, I think alot of people were confused, thinking they were voting for Michael Grasso, a really top notch magician/illusionist !
In a perfect world, the finalists and final result should have read as follows….
1- Jackie Evanko- just an unbelievable once in a life-
time young singer, blessed with a marvelous voice
but even more…beauty, poise and that all im-
      portant imperceptible “vibe” of specialness.
      2- Fighting Gravity- a cerebral, well-choreographed
boost out of the ordinary !
      3- Michael Grasso- Magician/Illusionist- Marvelous !
4- PP aka Prince Poppycock- Just for having the
cajones to perform onstage with his over the top-
      laugh inspiring-futuristic vaudevillian act.
Michael Grimm ? You have got to be kidding me ! He is a run-o-the-mill AVERAGE white bread “soul” singer.
My old basketball sneakers that I wore on blacktop basketball courts, have more soul- than this guy.
If I wanted what Michael Grimm has to offer, I would have gone to the corner deli and ordered a mayoinaisse sandwhich on white bread, with stale, flat soda, because, sorry to say….that what Grimm is….stale-flat-uninspiring….and NOW- HORRIBLY OVER-RATED !!
If this was back in the day on The Gong Show-Chuck Barris himself would have GONGED Grimm with his version of “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green. If I were Grimm, I’d issue a public apology to Rev. Al Green for his sinful attempt at “soul” singing ! And, p.s. Nice Hat-Grimm….I hope you at least got a free bowl of soup when you purchased it!

“Frankly, I think alot of people were confused, thinking they were voting for Michael Grasso, a really top notch magician/illusionist !”

      lol…this definitely had me laughing.

A little harsh for the rest though. Plus, I like Grimm in his hat. Did you see him without it?

    9. # BOB commented on September 16th, 2010:

i cant believe GRIMM won! if AMERICA thinks he is the most talented of the four, wow, i’m shocked! clearly ‘fighting gravity’ is the most original and talented act in the shows history! they are made for vegas! who would pay to see GRIMM in vegas? sure he can sing, but seriuosly, even POPPYCOCK is more original and a better singer than GRIMM! as far as EVANKO, that girl is bigger than vegas!
