America’s Got Talent Wild Card Performance Show

Written by:

I must admit that I was a little bit disappointed by this wild card show. There were 3-4 acts that were fantastic and the rest a pretty big disappointment. Many of them actually seemed like they took a step back in their performances. Either way, those 3-4 were great to watch. Plus, the judges were in rare form. I think the Piers must have angered half of America in this episode.

Why Order Matters on America’s Got Talent

Written by:

One of Pure America’s Got Talent readers, Jason, did a nice breakdown of the order that acts performed and which acts made it through to the semifinals:
#1: None of the five acts have been in the top 5.
#2: 2 of 5 have advanced to the semifinals.
#3: 1 of 5 in top 5, none in semifinals.
#4: 1 of 5 in top 5, none in semifinals.
#5: None of the five acts have been in the top 5.
#6: 2 of 5 have advanced to the semifinals.
#7: 1 of 5 have advanced to the semifinals.
#8: 1 of 5 in top 5, none in semifinals.
#9: 4 of 5 in top 5, 2 of 5 in semifinals.
#10: 4 of 5 have advanced to the semifinals.
#11: 5 of 5 have advanced to the semifinals.
#12: 4 of 5 have advanced to the semifinals.

Definitely shows a clear bias to the final acts making it through on America’s Got Talent. Is that because we have short term memories? Is it because the producers save the best acts for the end of the show? I’m guessing it’s both. What do you think?

America’s Got Talent 5: The Wildcard Show

Written by:

The upcoming episode is the WildCard show. Meaning anyone that the judges/producers believe deserve a second chance will get that second chance. In the matter of this season (as far as I know) I mean anyone…

There are a handful of acts that were rejected in Vegas who will get their chance to shine in Hollywood. The majority of the acts are those that had their chance in Hollywood, but in the end were not voted through for one reason or another.

One thing of note is that the only “singer” in the group is the youth rapper. Otherwise most everyone else is a non-vocalist, which is probably a good thing because there are already nine acts that sing that got through.

So providing that there are already 20 semi-finalists, if they choose another four from this crew then that would make it 24 semi-finalists total. That would be 24 acts out of 64 acts that performed in Hollywood as semi-finalists.

So out of all the wild-card acts (there’s no limit to the number of acts you’re looking foward to seeing on stage)…

America’s Got Talent YouTube Results Full Streaming Episode

Written by:

Now the full results episode of America’s Got Talent for those YouTube auditions. This episode was a little too predictable for me, but it’s fun to see some of the other YouTube sensations on the show. Nice that they gave them a chance to perform on such a big stage.

Jackie Evancho on America’s Got Talent

Written by:

We’ve known about Jackie Evancho here on Pure America’s Got Talent for quite a while now. In fact, I’m even Jackie’s mom’s friend on Facebook. So, we’re basically like family;-)

Well, Jackie had what I think was the best performance of the night. It really was flawless (unlike many of the other AGT acts). Dan Sperry was great too, but Jackie just has that little bit of twinkle in her eye that’s hard to resist. It’s going to be great fun to see her with the other talent that’s already gone through.

For those who missed it, here’s Jackie Evancho’s performance on America’s Got Talent.

Plus, here’s Jackie Evancho’s YouTube audition which got her on America’s Got Talent in the first place.

Dan Sperry Magic Trick on America’s Got Talent

Written by:

Well, Dan Sperry was definitely the spectacle of the night. He’s so much better than Murray the magician who already made it through. Dan Sperry is a bit freaky, but that’s kind of the point. That trick was awesome to watch. I wonder what else he has to perform.

In case you missed the video of Dan Sperry, you can check out his YouTube audition below. It’s better than the live one since it’s one camera angle (better for magic) and because you don’t have to see Howie and Sharon off their rocker.

Pup the Accordion Playing Dog on America’s Got Talent

Written by:

Well, Pup was a total flop on America’s Got Talent. I didn’t hear him play the accordion at all. So, of course I had to go and check out the YouTube video to see what I missed. Here it is in case you’re looking for it too:

Honestly, the video was still totally dumb. It’s basically a dog pulling on a strap. Lots of dogs will do that. That’s not playing the accordion. I have a feeling they only made it on the show, because it was a call back to the audition where the dog was suppose to play the guitar (if I remember right).

They took this pup over this talented girl, Lindsey K (Bra Girl), who also auditioned?
