I can’t believe how that results show went. This is just a warning, if you haven’t seen it yet, don’t read anymore unless you want it to be spoiled.
Prince Poppycock and Michael Grimm were near guaranteed in the top 10. I felt very good about Anna & Patryk as well, this routine was definitely one of their better ones. After watching it over again, I think that Taylor Matthews did deserve to advance. He has a better voice than I thought.
I was surprised to find that Antonio Restivo and ArcAttack didn’t make it. Both acts were good. Christina & Ali and Connor Doran as the #5 and #6 acts was a shock, it just shows how much voting is affected by a personal story. I like Connor’s talent more, but Christina & Ali have more they can do with their act. Still, of the two, I would have chosen Connor, maybe that’s just the story I relate to more.
(I had a flashback to season 3 with this choice as well, when the judges picked between Jonathan Burkin and Joseph Hall. I wanted to see Jonathan in the top 10 because I thought he had the better talent, but the judges made, in my opinion, a horrible choice and went with Joseph Hall.)
I also noticed one other thing. They kept saying “top 10”, but I don’t think they ever said “finals” on the show. Do they take the 10 down one more time (down to 4 or 5) and have them perform before declaring a winner?

i noticed that too, the fact they never said finals and only said top 10 i think they will try to knock a few more contestants out then pick a winner.
By definition, semifinals are the penultimate round. The finals are in two weeks.
