America’s Got Talent 5: Los Angeles Auditions
Hello all! To make things quick, I’m going to do a quick list of all the acts that made it through to Vegas with websites to find out more about them. Then over the course of the week I will (hopefully) give each act their own post with more info, thoughts, etc.
If anyone out there have any info to the following acts please either leave a comment or contact us.
Also a quick note… my computer didn’t record the first 40 mins of the episode… so any help with the first few acts that made it to Vegas would be great… Granted I could wait til the episode shows up online. 🙂
Since there are probably some people that haven’t seen the show… Click on “Read More” for spoilers!

I was not very impressed by tonight’s episode until I saw Micheal Grimm, but that too turned quickly when I looked him up on the internet and saw he is already an accomplished performer with a recording contract and a record label. Almost seems like they are beginning in the ringers this season.
Skeptical – According to the website link provided above Michael Grimm doesn’t go with a record label, he independently creates and distributes his own CDs wherever he does a gig. That’s not unheard of, necessarily.
Do you believe he will be selling his cd’s from a card table while he is booked to play in branson Missouri? or when he was playing at the palms? He has skills… he is great, I am not saying that…. I am just saying it looks like they are bringing in ringers.
Can you tell me the name of the song/artist that was played in the background whle they were doing the background story about Michael Grimm? I have heard it before and can’t seem to place it. I only heard a few seconds, and it was a slow song. Sorry this is not much to go on.
I could swear he was on the show 2 seasons ago, and at the end of the season Sharon asked him to take his hat off. Am I crazy?
Never mind, I’m confusing him with Eli Mattson. He was awesome too.

flagstaffsusan,
One of our readers said it was a song called “Falling Slowly” by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova from the movie “Once.”
Spacey,
You’re so right about Sharon asking for the hats to be taken off. Kind of weird. Is that a fetish of hers or something? Eli was great.
do anyone know the song during the commerical
break when the boys was break dance it said baby put your hands its a cool song if anyone know email me info……….
People I can promise you there is nothing phony about Mike or his story. At 17 he spent months on my couch in Waveland because he had no where else to stay and we played honky tonks. His grandma is as poor as he said and Mike has struggled mightily.

Who was not moved deeply by the talent of the Veterans in the group New Directions who sang on the show America’s Got Talent. Clearly Howie Mandel made the right decision to come and be their newest judge. Nick Cannon seemed touched beyond words. It truly was an emotional moment for Sharon Osborne and Piers Morgan. When one member of the group New Directions said,” it’s 0k for a warrior to seek help”, it reminded me why I enjoy working nationally on behalf of Vets to get them retrained in the environmental field so they can look for work in a field that should be around for a while.

Marilyn Pulliam is the National Veterans Sales Manager for ESA/ Environmental Solutions Association.
We help train/retrain Veterans to get certified in the environmental field of Indoor Air Quality…mold inspection, mold remediation, radon testing, indoor air quality tech and more.
Vets without GI Bill Benefits can take advantage of this opportunity also except they do not get VA reimbursement.
Anyone can take these home study courses but only Vets with GI Bill Benefits can get fully reimbursed by the VA for their training. We also give Vets more including, but not limited to, free ESA membership so they can get advice and map out an action plan for making money regularly in their new field.
For further information call Marilyn Pulliam at 708.256.7556 or email me at: marilyn@esaassociation.com
Does anyone know the name of the song Micheal Grimm’s sang on June first?
Tabitha – The song that Michael Grimm sang was You Don’t Know Me by Ray Charles
Michael Lipari and Ashleigh Dejon’s aerialist act was incredible…wish they showed more! Michael Grimm played in front of 6,000 people. Show his talent, not try to tug on the audiences heartstrings…he has concert experience and is very comfortable performing because he has….Singing always wins out! There should be a seperate contest for singers over the age of what Idol requires.
There is. It’s called X factor and is being done by Simon Cowell also.
I watched the show on June 15th, and I am very disappointed. The little girl that sang with a back up on 4 other children was absolutly great. The judges are so stupid this must be a game to them. The more stupid it is they put through. This little girl was fantastic. I don’t ever care to watch your show again, ITS A JOKE AND A GAME TO ALL JUDGES. The one guy couldn’t even do a magic trick for real and they put him through what is this show alll about?
THANK GOD THE “HOFF” IS HISTORY. NOW HE HAS MORE TIME TO LOOK AT HIMSELF IN THE MIRROR.
MICHAEL GRIMM WAS FANTASTIC. NICK CANNON IS VERY GOOD ALSO. THERE IS NOW GREAT BALANCE ON THIS SHOW BETWEEN THE JUDGES AND MC.
