The following is the experience that someone shared with me about their experience at the America’s Got Talent 2010 Portland auditions.

My Portland Oregon audition! On March 1st, I auditioned for America’s Got Talent in Portland, Oregon. I left early with my mom, expecting a large crowd like the one that had showed up on the first day. When I got there, there was no line anywhere. We walked in and right through security and the place where you get your audition number and wrist band. We entered into the waiting room to find only about a forth of the place had people. Since we had filled out our paperwork earlier, we walked past the people filling theirs out and right to the people who checked them. We joked around with the people working and made them smile while they checked over our paperwork. We then went and sat down, waiting for my number to be called. The first group of people auditioning were called and they were filmed as they headed out the door of the waiting room. We waited a little longer, talking to random people and having them preform their acts for us. A few people were interviewed and they scanned the area a couple times with the camera. My number was called not long after and I joined my group. They only filmed the first group, but there was a camera outside the door just sitting there and filming the people walking by. We lined up in numerical order and then we were split in groups of ten. Once my group of ten got to the chairs outside of the audition room, we were split into groups of five. We waited for about ten minutes before we were called into the room. There was no camera. Just three girls sitting behind computers. We said our name, age, where we were from, and what we were singing. Afterward, they thanked us and told us they would call if you made it through the next round. A friend I met there told me that they asked when they would be contacted and the people told them it would be before the 16th (Because the show films on the 17th and 18th). No one was called back in, and I didn’t see anyone in any group while I was waiting be called back in. I’m not sure it’s a good thing? We got to the audition about 9 and left at 11 something. The process was fairly quick and painless, but it was a lot of fun. I made a bunch of new friends and had a blast. Portland definitely has some talented people. Let’s hope for the best!

Feel free to leave your experience if you were at the AGT 2010 portland auditions.

My experience in Portland for AGT…
My audition was on the 28th.I arrived to find about 500 in line at 6am.As the doors opened the line moved quickly.I was inside in 10 minutes.Security check was thorough and quick. As I followed the line, with tables on both sides of the line for us folks that had to fill out our papers. As I approached the paper turn in tables,it was complete.
Now we wait…Soon enough,an hour or so,we lined up to go outside for commercials.I got to be in front…..AWESOME!!!!
Coming in we came to more cameras…Me in my Lake Co. Ca. Military Honors Funeral Team uniform.
      I am a Bugler.
Well done.It was pretty crowded on the 28th.
Kudos to AGT and the people that make it happen.
      Kind,courteous and respectful…
      Thank you for the opportunity.
      good luck to all,

I want to post my story to you guy’s. I am debating whether or not to though… My Americas got talent audition story seems to be very different from all of yours. I wonder if it’s safe for me to post all the details? I really want to tell you guys how it worked for me and what happened at my audition :(

Isabella Daniels….You tell your story no matter what.
Evidently you had a bad experience…..I’m sorry for that.
It not only went smooth for me,but I rather enjoyed myself while I was there.

      Bill,

Oh no my audition went fantastic! I had a blast and it was amazing! I’m just wondering if I violate anything that I signed by telling y’all what happened “AFTER” my audition.

My audition was the best I loved it! It was so much fun.

      Isabella,,,
If you feel you need to say something,,,say it.
      Truth is truth.

      Bill,
Truth is truth, but violating a contract is not a good thing. I don’t want anyone to violate the contract they have with AGT. We love to hear experiences, but people know what they signed and should live up to their commitments.

So I guess Isabella has a decision to make…I’m glad it’s not me.
      Contract or truth?
      Enough said.

Ok, Went to the LA taping with the judges last nite, (March 13) I noticed that all the contestants for the show last nite where golden ticket auditions at the original auditions in LA including the performer I was a guest of. The golden ticket is a pass to the front of the line and the holders (there where alot of them) actually had an appointment time to apear instead of waiting with every one else. They where treated as individuals rather than groups of contestants. So here is my question, did any of the general auditions get call backs? or is this thing rigged and just using every one there as TV. I would like to hear from people if they’ve gotten call backs. Here’s a copy of the guest letter we got to appear, even we had special admittance.
