I am one of the stage directors for our small theater at our church and would like to know how you create the fire curtain for the Hollywood shows. Is it something I could reproduce or purchase?

Well maybe so but if That’s the case then in my opinion they should specifically tell you that you are “stand by”. I mean who wouldn’t go nuts after getting that kind of call? You’re too hard on yourself when you say you’re naive. Anyone would
react the same. Just remember – you still have the same talent no matter what happens. Although I get it that it would be great to have
the opportunity to be on the show. Maybe they will do something with people whose videos they liked???

Yes. Sad, embarrassed that I got so excited for nothing and have given up hope. I think what has happened, though they did not present it this way when they called and told me to be available for Orlando, was that with Video auditions, they place you on a list that they are interested in. This list is like a stand-by list, in the event they need to fill a slot. Not guranteed.

Yeah, I had a youtube version for a while but then the link became unavailable… not sure if it was deleated or what, but I cant seem to find one that has the opening montage anymore. If I find it, I am going to make a cd copy for my portfolio this time.

Didn’t they do the MySpace the past 2 seasons? I think last season it was a bigger deal than the one before though.

Mr. Lucky, have you checked YouTube? I think they were posting full seasons on there before.

It was last season. You were required to send in a video via myspace before June. I sent in my video and received a call in late may. They asked me to fill out a contract and fed-ex it back to them. The called me the next day to tell me they had received it and I would hear in the next few days. They emailed me 3 days before the episode aired to tell me that I didn’t make the show, but that my video would be in the opening montage. so last year I had 3 seconds of fame on episode 9, 1 minute into the show (I think it was 9). which if anyone has a clip of this montage please let me know, I lost mine when my computer crashed (arggg).

what season was that myspace audition thing? and how did that work? does anyone remember?
