Holy cow, even without my 60 votes (3 cells, 1 landline, 2 computers) it still looks like everyone likes Kevin Spinner to win this just by your pole. Now I wish I wasn’t so lazy and tired last night and voted for him. Yes, the morning brought me back to Kevin even though I knew last night he didn’t deserve to win. Like I’ve said all along, I think he’s the one who NEEDS the win, but there were other acts more deserving because of their talent. I should have stayed consistent. If he loses by 60 votes, I’ll never forgive myself (LOL!!!)

At least last night Piers and the others finally admitted that Kevin wasn’t a very good singer. That made me feel a little better about it.

I wonder how Las Vegas will react if he wins since he’s really not that great of a singer.

You should have voted. I’m going to let him know if he loses that it was because of you;-)

OHHHH, if he had stuck to just him and his guitar and a heartfelt love song….we could’ve enjoyed his true talents…seems that every since the “producers” got involved he has struggled…….way too much background music and singers….listen to his first performance…his guitar pickin’ skills are so soothing and just as moving as his voice

    4. # John commented on September 15th, 2009:

      TD,
Now that’s a plan. Just have him and his guitar up there and no singing. Doesn’t make for as good of television, but I’d actually enjoy that.

    5. # TD commented on September 15th, 2009:

Now John……I want to hear him sing too….must be the same gene that makes us ladies like mushy, cuddlely love stories…….

I haven’t been able to get Kevin’s version of ” To Make You Feel My Love” out of my head since he sang it, I would buy an album with that song on it and can see it going to #1 on the Country chart. He sings with so much emotion although his last performance of “Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing” was not as strong, for me, it was still enjoyable.

Starry Eye….”tell me…tell me that your sweet love hasn’t died….give me…give me one more chance to keep you satisfied”…thats what is in my head….

Barbara Padilla is a wonderful TRAINED opera singer….(she has a masters in vocal, has competed and won state contest in Texas and some say she has even studied in Italy…..Kevin on the other…his training came from his family and sitting on his front porch……his loving, compassionate soul is his greatest talent…..

Just hope the music business doesn’t eat him up….

      TD,
It’s funny, because I have that gene that makes me love chick flicks. Just don’t tell any of my guy friends that. I’ll deny it emphatically.

You’re right about the music business. I can’t imagine Kevin Skinner surviving it unscathed. However, even the $1 million annuity that he’ll win from the show would be enough to live a pretty good life where he comes from I imagine.

    9. # TD commented on September 16th, 2009:

Ahhh,,,now John, you are showing you sensitive side….lov it!!!

Hope Kevin takes his million and goes back home and takes care of his family and continues his simple, honest life–fishin’ and muddin’…..but am afraid–million or not—an agent will swoop down on him and his life will become miserable

      I want Kevin to win.

John stop throwing rotten tomatoes at me through the computer. They’ll stain your monitor!

      TD,
      SHHHHH….don’t tell anyone.

      StevieCat,
I think Kevin will win as well. I’ve got the Terry Fator DVD playing in the background right now and it’s a shame to think that Terry Fator’s talent and Kevin Skinner’s will be discussed as both winning America’s Got Talent.

[...] been thinking this for a while, but the voting on my poll for the America’s Got Talent Winner just confirmed what I was already thinking and just didn’t want to admit publicly. I think I [...]

I wont lie, it was a tough competition indeed but Barbara Padilla managed to shine. All the acts were awesome more especially the Voices Of Glory. Since this is a talent competition it is best to go with an act that really performed out of their skin and I think that’s Barbara Padilla…no doubt

    14. # Keano commented on September 17th, 2009:

I was really disappointed, I mean c’mon Kevin Spinner winning America’s got talent? you gotta be kidding me!!! The guy can’t hold a key for longer than a second, his last 2 performances he was off key the entire song, yet I was completely shock by the judges who full-heartedly complimented him and admired his great vocal ability and performance! I can’t believe this, to me it sounded more of a NBC set up to pick Kevin as the winner than anything else. Either the AGT judges are totally deaf and unfamiliar with music, or this was pre-planned to pick the Mr. Nice guy (Kevin) as the winner.
Don’t get me wrong, I too loved the guy, he is such a humble and emotional guy and a real hard worker (Which BTW I believe that’s the main reason America voted for him (Shows how stupid we are). I am totally disgusted and turned off by this show and I will never ever watch this unfar and bias show again!
Barbara Padilla should have won, that would have been the only fair and square outcome!
