A notice was posted to the official AGT audition website about the America’s Got Talent Season 5 auditions being over. I meant to post this when I first saw it, but I’ve been a little bit busy lately. However, I felt it only right to post it since I’d posted so much information about America’s Got Talent auditions.

The cool part is that the official America’s Got Talent audition website also has this posted:

Auditions for Season 4 of America’s Got Talent are now over. All the acts have been notified.

The show will premiere on JUNE 23 9/8C ON NBC.

Online pre-registration for season 5 (which will air in 2010) will start June 15, 2009. Check back for details.

I’m certain this will be bad news for those who auditioned for America’s Got Talent season 4 and never heard back from the show. However, it’s great news for those interested in participating in the America’s Got Talent season 5 auditions. Yes, that’s America’s Got Talent 2010. Seems like it’s a long ways away, but it will go faster than we think.

Anyway, best of luck to those that will be on America’s Got Talent season 4 on June 23, 2009 and even more luck to those who brave the crowds to audition for America’s Got Talent 2010.

Just wondering what the cities are to audition for season 5

    2. # John commented on June 1st, 2009:

      mary long,
They haven’t announced that yet. They haven’t even started the pre-register. I’m guessing we won’t know until January, but you can pre-register at the official AGT audition website: http://americasgottalentauditions.com/ starting June 15th.

I have been singing since i was a little girl. i really enjoy it too, but not in front of everyone, let alone more than i million.

      Maya,
Watch the second to last show on Britain’s Got Talent and this cute little girls basically does break down on the show because of all the pressure. Certainly isn’t for everyone. Although, I like to say if it wasn’t for that pressure, then it wouldn’t be fun and exciting.

I don’t get it when are auditions for americas got talent 2010?

    6. # John commented on June 15th, 2009:

      Maya,
They haven’t announced the specific dates yet. They said they’d start accepting preregistrations today on http://americasgottalentauditions.com/ So far I don’t see anything on the site, but I’m sure there will be plenty of time. I’m pretty sure the show won’t hold the auditions for quite a while.

    7. # Mandy commented on June 15th, 2009:

I want to really audition for americas got talent i’m all prepared for it and i’m going to sing an i just can’t wait i was going to audition for this one this year the one for americas got talent 2009 but i was to late so i hav to wait tell 2010 but i don’t know how long to wait an when it is and where it is and its just so much to look for and i just can’t find it so i’m confused an i’m just dieing to audition. i wish that i was auditioning for it right now. i want to cry but i better not because well because i just don’t know why. all i want is to be on that show and to make past the first level at the least and i’m just so sad and upset right now that i’m not and i don’t know when i will be or if i will be and that just makes me sad.

    8. # John commented on June 15th, 2009:

Oh Mandy. There will be plenty of time. You can’t start getting stressed now. I wouldn’t expect the auditions to start for another 6 months at least. Probably more.

    9. # cbisme commented on June 16th, 2009:

Hey, everyone. How does it work – the pre-registration thing for Season 5? Will there be a form that pops up on the official site when they decide to release it to us. Also, is it a good idea to submit videos to them in addition to trying to perform live?

    10. # John commented on June 18th, 2009:

      cbisme,
It looks like they finally posted the pre-registration form on the official site: http://americasgottalentauditions.com/new/register

I don’t see why you wouldn’t want to submit a video and be seen in person. More chances to show off good talent and possibly catch someone’s eye. Not to mention to tell your story.

    11. # cbisme commented on June 18th, 2009:

Hey, John! Thanks for the reply. I am a vocalist who plays piano. Do you know others who have gone through the process? Will they have a piano available. I pre-registered earlier this evening. YAY! I really am excited about the “possibility” of singing for Hasselhoff, in hopes that someday he might take Jekyll & Hyde on the road again and consider me as a member of his ensemble. I know everybody dreams BIGGER than this, but what the heck. Are you auditioning? What is your talent?

    12. # John commented on June 18th, 2009:

      cbisme,
They have a keyboard at the initial auditions from what I remember. They’ll send you a lot more details about the audition process once they have everything set.

You can read other people’s audition experiences: http://www.pureamericasgottalent.com/category/americas-got-talent-future/ They are really informative.

You won’t be seeing me at the auditions. I thought it would be funny to show up with a computer and blog about the experience from the auditions. Pretty good talent huh? I’m just not sure how good it would do on TV.

It’s nice to have dreams. I’m not a huge fan of the hoff, but many many people are.

I checked out the website you suggested above……..and there are 2 people in my act would we have to make 2 sign ups…..also and what is the fee for audition…

    15. # John commented on June 25th, 2009:

      Lora,
You’ll probably both have to fill out paperwork signing your life away (or some legal thing like that). Not for sure though since I’m not the show.

There is no fee to audition though. Except for the cost to get to the initial auditions. That I know for sure.

    16. # lora commented on June 25th, 2009:

so you fill out the paper work there? and thanks for the help…

    17. # John commented on June 25th, 2009:

      Lora,
They encourage you to fill it out beforehand, but it’s an open call and so I’m sure they have paperwork there as well.

    18. # cbisme commented on June 25th, 2009:

Hey, John! At what point do they want the “human interest” story – or is it really necessary that you have one? I mean, ‘cmon, some of the stories are pretty sappy. Nobody really wants to beg for votes, right? We would all hope that they consider the TALENT we have. Also, so far this season, I have noticed that there are a lot of “sensational” acts that are being passed through. It’s hard to beat dogs, kids and impersonators. Do you think contestants need a gimmick? One more question that you probably have a head start at answering. If we manage to squeak into this show, do they have pro mentors, band arrangers like they do on Idol.

    19. # lora commented on June 26th, 2009:

Do you have to audition (sign up) before a certain amount of people or is it everyone who wants to….

    20. # John commented on June 26th, 2009:

      cbisme,
I think the key is to remember that they’re trying to produce a show. So, they have to be able to have a story to tell that will entertain audiences.

Once you get so far I think they do have people that work with you to help produce your act, but it’s not quite like Idol where it’s a mentoring role from what I understand.

    21. # John commented on June 26th, 2009:

      lora,
Remember this is just a fan site. The official site is: http://americasgottalentauditions.com/

However, my understanding in the past is that it’s open to everyone and anyone. They probably want to get as many people as possible.

    24. # Anne commented on July 31st, 2009:

Can you tell me where the show is filmed? Is the finale in a different city than the other shows?

    25. # John commented on July 31st, 2009:

      Anne,
It’s filmed in the audition cities. Then, in Las Vegas. Then, the live shows (top 40 to the finale) are filmed in Hollywood.

Hi!I’m 11 years old and I was thinking about auditioning for 2010. I was wondering if you have to upload your video on the site first or you can just show up at the auditioning place without uploading a video.

    30. # John commented on August 7th, 2009:

      Hi Megan,
This is just a fan site, so take it for what it’s worth. However, last season you could either upload your video to the website, just show up to the auditions or both.
