America’s Got Talent Filming in New York City

America’s Got Talent really got things moving today as they started the taping of the show today in New York City. For many of those who attended the NY open auditions, they are probably wondering why they haven’t gotten a call. However, the show must go on and certainly a lot of great talent will be on the show and a lot of great talent will be left off the show. I believe this will be especially true for singers.
It’s not too late if you want to go and be in the audience for the taping of the show. They’ll be taping on March 18th and 19th. You can get tickets to be apart of the audience here.
Here’s the full description of the America’s Got Talent taping in NYC:
Nick Cannon hosts NBC’s hit reality competition! Be in the audience as the best amateur performers in New York City compete! David Hasselhoff, Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan judge! Produced by Simon Cowell!
The Hammerstein Ballroom
Manhattan Center Studios
311 West 34th Street
New York, NY 10001
I just wish I was closer to NYC and could go and be apart of the audience. Would be really interesting.
Congratulations to those that are attending the taping. My thoughts and best wishes to those who didn’t make it.

Don’t be too sad you missed the taping. We were at the 1:00 show on 3/17, and from what we saw, America doesn’t have much talent. Got in line at 12:15, in the theater by 1, then an hour of them setting up and filming audience reaction shots, ugh. The first act was a quartet of guys mostly drumming on plastic buckets – the audience loved them, the judges said no. Then another 20 minute break for them to clean up the stage, followed by 2 contortionists – they were ok, but nothing amazing. Then a really bad singer, and a bad illusionist, then a decent singer with a guitar. Between that and the 5-10 minutes in between each act watching the judges get more makeup and hair spray, we had enough, and left around 3:30. Never again…..
Hey. the show was cool. My cousin and their band was in the show. The Ryan Payne Band, my cousin is the drummer. We got family tickets and me and my cousin’s fiance and her friend actually were moved to the front row of the second half
it was fun, we were on camera!
You’ll be famous Shelby. You’ll have to find the video when it’s shown and let us know which one you are. It would be fun to see the taping.
