Answers to America’s Got Talent Audition Questions
A number of people are confusing Pure America’s Got Talent (this website) with the official America’s Got Talent audition website. As is stated near the top, this is just an America’s Got Talent FAN site. It’s run by fans, contributed by fans and has no relationship with NBC, America’s Got Talent, it’s owners, producers, etc etc etc.
With that disclaimer aside, hopefully this site is a good place for fans of the show to share their experience, get feedback on the process, learn from other fans and once the show starts talk about the various episodes of America’s Got Talent. One of my main focuses when the show starts will be the various music performed on the show. Until then we’ll enjoy hearing about various America’s Got Talent audition experiences and even post a few America’s Got Talent polls.
If you do have questions about the America’s Got Talent audition process, then you have a couple of options.
- Official America’s Got Talent website
- Official America’s Got Talent Audition FAQ
- Official America’s Got Talent Audition Forum (Beta) – this is a new addition that should be helpful for people who want to ask questions about the audition process.
You’re certainly welcome to post comments on this blog and interact with fans, but just know that anything said on Pure America’s Got Talent in posts or comments is just fan talk.

I auditioned on the thirteenth in DC and it took me about six hours to get in I don`t know if nervousness set in or what but I felt like my voice wasn`t resonating like it should the judges let me finish my song and said very good at the end I don`t know if they tell everybody this or not I sang the same song that i sang in my audition tape and felt like Iactually did better on the tape. Idid an old country song by Merle Haggard Okie from muskogee though dated I hope they liked it good luck to everyone that has auditioned and scheduled to audition later.
rolypoly,
Sounds like you felt the pressure of nerves in action. It’s hard to explain what pressure and nerves feels like until you’re in the middle of a situation like that.
It will be interesting to see what they think of having Merle Haggard on the show. Probably not a huge crowd pleaser, but maybe they’ll like the contrast. Luckily, Toby Keith has done a good job bringing Merle to the 21st century.
How long do I have for my audition, when I’m singing can I have a background track or do I have to sing by my self and one more thing can i sing the whole song?!!!:)
This is a family show…Last night show should have been
“R” rated. Keep doing it will not watch the show.
isn`t it kind dumb having a kid compete with an adult for an act in Las Vegas .Why don`t you have a separate contest for kids under 21 for an act say in Disney World. would`nt that be logical and more fair.
