A recent comment was made on my previous America’s Got Talent Auditions post from what looks like is a representative of America’s Got Talent named Kate. There’s just way too much information for it to be a fake. I’m going to email her and see what other information I can get for you in the future.
A few highlights:
-LA Auditions for America’s Got Talent being on January 29-31.
-New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Miami, Seattle, Boston and Houston to follow the LA Auditions
-New Audition video upload option at nbc.com/agt
-Must sing a cappella
-Upload video option by January 17th for best chance
-They will watch EVERY SINGLE audition video
Here’s her comment for those looking to audition for America’s Got Talent:
Hello Everyone!
Season 4 Auditions for AGT in LA are January 29-31. After that we will be traveling to New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Miami, Seattle, Boston and Houston. Please register on the website to get updates about venue and audition tips and to schedule your audition.
You are welcome to send in a tape AND come audition. It’s great to see you in person but sending in a tape (or – new! – now upload a video at nbc.com/agt) gives you another chance to show your talent. Also, you can absolutely audition for the show simply by sending in a tape or uploading video
Some notes:
All singing must be done a cappella – that is, without accompaniment. However, if your act involves playing along with someone singing – of course, then, that is your act. There will be a keyboard available at auditions. However, there is no set up time at the first audition, so if you’re playing guitar better do it acoustic or bring your own battery-powered amp.
After the first audition there is more leeway for set up time but if you register at the website you will get more helpful info sent to your email.
As far as getting home audition tapes in or uploading footage – we would like you to get it in ASAP. by January 10th would be great, or by January 17. BUT – we do accept home tape submissions and uploads through the audition season (i.e. until mid spring) – and WE WATCH EVERY SINGLE ONE !
Just keep in mind the earlier you send it in the better!
….Kicking off a MASSIVE nationwide tour in Los Angeles January 29th – 31st, America’s Got Talent Season 4 will be traveling to over 9 major cities. Auditions will be held in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Miami, Seattle, Boston and Houston! Register for your chance to be seen, send in a tape, and upload your home audition footage NOW at www.NBC.com/agt
Thanks Kate for stopping by the site to inform my readers.

I cannot get through NBC.com, even when I specifically type in http://www.nbc.com/agt I am redirected to NBC.com homepage where I can find no mention of America’s Got Talent, much less where to upload a video. How do I get around this? Is that portion of the page closed now?
Kayla,
It’s loading perfectly fine for me. Try this link to see if it works for you: http://www.nbc.com/Americas_Got_Talent/
Keep trying and it will work sooner or later. Maybe try a different web browser if you have one.
Does auditioning for this in any way prevent you from being able to audition for American Idol next season? Thanks!
Staci,
I’m pretty sure that just auditioning for the show would prevent you from auditioning for American Idol. Although, you should read the fine print when you sign anything at the auditions.
Of course, if you do well on America’s Got Talent, you will have to eventually sign something that would prevent you from auditioning for American Idol next season. Not sure how long that contract would be for though.
I would like to audition for America’s got talent I’m a singer
Giorgio,
You’ll want to check out the official AGT audition website to do that: http://americasgottalentauditions.com/new/
However, they’ve posted on that website “Auditions for Season 4 of America’s Got Talent are now over. All the acts have been notified. Online pre-registration for season 5 (which will air in 2010) will start June 15, 2009. Check back for details.”
I think there should be a Milwaukee Audition next year.
I agree with McKenzie but there should also be a Madison, WI audition
hi,
im from anaheim, california and i used to live in louisiana. my friend said that she auditioned for AGT in louisiana and she almost made it. i was just wondering when i can audition an where. i have been searching for a way to boost my chances of a record deal and i just cant seem to find a way. im young, so, many people dont pay attention to me. when i tried out for the musical in 7th grade i didnt make it, but the popular people and the PTA mom’s daugter did. where can i find a non-biased place to boost my confidence and maybe acheive my life-long goals?
thank you.
samantha,
Still too early to know when and where they’ll be doing it. Check out the link above and you can pre-register which basically means they’ll tell you when they have more details for your area.
Just remember that even AGT isn’t necessarily a non-biased place. They are trying to entertain and tell a good story. So, even if you don’t do well on AGT, then you could still be good. I do feel for you and the biases I’m sure you face.

Thanks for posting here. Unfortunately, this is just a fan site. To get in touch with the real America’s Got Talent Audition people you should go to their official website: http://americasgottalentauditions.com/
Best of luck and we hope to see you on the show!
What happened to T.J And The mommas?
Art,
Good question. I don’t remember them getting sent home, but they’re not in the top 40, so they must have gone home in the Airport or something.
